Thank You for helping me out!

1. Describe three lines of evidence that support eveolution. Give an example for each.

2. Comare the digestive systems of a flatworm and a human.

3. Name the trophic levels in an ecosystem and expalin how energy moves through trophic levels.

4. Describe the following issues that confront modern society: Global Warming and Hazerdous waste.

5. How does gene expression control the development of a frog from a tadpole without legs to a full grown adult??

1 embryology - animals show features of ancestors like a gill slit in human embryos.
DNA - There is a section of DNA on the mitochondria that doesn’t code for protein known as the D-loop or hypervariable reagion. It randomly accumulates changes and shows a very close relationship between animals. It shows that humans are 5-7 million years removed from Chimps.
Fossils: The age of fossils is absolutely established by isotopes in crystals that don’t belong in those crystals except by decay. The ages are established and the change or progression is thus proven. Evolution is change so evolution is absolutely proven. You could argue if natural selection is the reason but it has been essentially proven.

    2. A flatworm has only one opening. In a human the food goes in one end and exits at the oposite end.

i can help u with certain points
    1. there’s comparitve embroyology. this is to say that species with a common ancestor, their fetuss will develop in similar way (like humans and mokeys). another evidence are homologous structures. species with a common ancestor will have structures that look similar, but due to their different envrionment have developed different functions for those structures (like the arm of a human, the wing of a bat, and the fin of a whale). finally there’s comparing dna sequences. species with a common ancestor will have similar dna sequences for many proteins. for example, there is only one difference of dna sequence for cychrsome c between humans and monkeys. but there are 48 between humans and bread mold.
    2. both have a complete digestive track, starting with the mouth and ending with the ****. however humans are coelomates, which allows them to have special organs along their digestive track, like a stomach and intestine.
3.producers (autotrophs)->primary consumers (those who eat producers)->secondary consumers->teritiary consumers->quatenary consumers (note, not all ecosystems can support this level. about 10% of energy is left over for the above trophic level. so plants get the most out of their ecosystem, but quatenary consumers get the least.
    4. just watch an inconvinient truth

    1. molecular biology where scientists compare the different molecules from fossils or bones to humans of our time and compare and contrast
4.wacht inconvinient truth or teh day after tomorrow
